ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

We develop architectural projects for new buildings, refurbishment, extensions, conversions and alterations to existing spaces, seeking solutions that respond coherently to the site, programme, investment objectives and regulatory constraints.

From housing to retail and service buildings, hospitality, industrial and logistics facilities, and public or institutional buildings, each project is approached as an integrated response combining architecture, functionality, technical performance and construction.

Our involvement may extend from initial studies and planning or building approval procedures through to the detailed technical development required for construction and, where applicable, property marketing.

DESIGN COORDINATION & DEVELOPMENT

A project gains consistency as architecture, engineering disciplines, construction solutions, materials and execution constraints are progressively developed and coordinated.

We coordinate the technical development of projects, integrating the different specialist disciplines and developing the solutions required for their proper definition and construction.

Depending on the agreed scope of services, this may include detailed design and construction documentation, construction details, technical specifications, schedules of works and quantities, interdisciplinary coordination and assistance in preparing tender documentation for contractors.

PASSIVE HOUSE DESIGN & CONSULTANCY

We integrate Passive House and high-performance design principles from the earliest stages of a project, aiming to reduce energy demand while improving thermal comfort, indoor air quality and building-envelope performance.

Specialist training and experience in the development of buildings designed to the Passive House standard enable us to support decisions relating to architectural design, envelope definition, thermal-bridge control, airtightness and integration with the building’s other systems.

This expertise is currently being applied, among other projects, to the future Maia Municipal Police Station, designed to the Passive House standard and undergoing the certification process.

BUILDING ACOUSTICS DESIGN & CONSULTANCY

We provide design and consultancy services in Building Acoustics, integrating regulatory requirements with the conditions necessary to achieve appropriate acoustic comfort and performance within buildings.

Our work may include airborne and impact sound insulation, building-services noise, room acoustics, reverberation control and the assessment of construction solutions for residential, commercial, office, hospitality, public and other building types.

Acoustic design may be provided as an independent specialist service or integrated into the overall development of the architectural project.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, SITE SUPERVISION & TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

The transition from design to construction requires technical oversight, informed decision-making and continuous coordination between the various parties involved.

We provide construction management, site supervision, consultancy and technical management services, adapting the scope of our involvement to the specific characteristics, requirements and responsibilities of each project.

Our services may include construction management, site supervision, technical monitoring, verification of compliance with the approved design and technical documentation, support to the Client, assessment of construction solutions and proposed changes, and monitoring of costs, programme and construction quality.

We also provide expertise in construction safety, including Health and Safety Coordination during both the design and construction stages, where applicable.
